Okay, so a week before Mother's Day I was like "I'mma gonna be a good daughter this year!!!" and ordered my mom a big pot of flowers off the intarnets. I got the order confirmation, the shipping confirmation, and the delivery confirmation so I was like "Yayz! Mission accomplished!!" I didn't want to write her telling they were going to come because I wanted it to be a surprise.

But then like.. my mother never wrote. So I was like WTFz is she so drunk that she can't even write me to say thanks?? Or maybe she died alone in the house and they haven't discovered her body yet or something?? (both totally plausible explanations)

So I wrote her and was like "Did you get my flowers?? :D" and she wrote back a day later saying "No, dear. But I will imagine them in my heart"

I was like 1-800-FLOWERS IS GONNA GET ITTTTTT so I called them just now on Skype ready to be like WHY NO FLOWERS FOR MY MUMZ >O

But the lady on the phone was NICEST LADY IN UNIVERSE so I actually was like "So yeah, my mom didn't get her flowers. What's up with that? :3" I forget how much Japanese people are like emotionless robots on the phone and in any service situation until I do something in America again.

She told me that if my mother wasn't home, they would have left the flowers on her doorstep (good fucking idea, geniuses!!! WTF is wrong with you people?? Come back like an hour later for fuck's sake)

Which MEANS....

SOME ASSHOLE STOLE MY MOM'S FLOWERS, TOOK OFF THE TAG SAYING "Love, Lauren" AND GAVE IT TO THEIR MOM!!!! How much of a supreme douchebag can you be???????? >OOOOOOOOOO

Hi all oAo//

So, lately I have been spending at least 700~800 dollars on clothes every month because it makes me feel less lonely. oAo/

It's kinda gotten to the point where I think that I definitely require some sort of mental health professional to help me out of it. XD

But I was thinking!!

If I had a CAT, I wouldn't need to spend my free time outside shopping out of loneliness! I could spend my free time INSIDE for FREE with a CAT! So lately I have been heavily considering getting a cat.

So, what did I come upon today as I was walking in Ginza before a job interview?

A CAT!!

Yeah, in Japan there are looooooooooads of stray cats in parking lots everywhere you go. They were either born strays or people throw them away. This one was suuuuper nice and jumped onto my lap as soon as I crouched down to say hello, so I'm assuming she was thrown away by somebody. And of course, since just as the Japanese have no ability to use contraception themselves, they don't spay or neuter any cats, so this one was preggers (every female cat I've seen in the past week has been pregnant xAx)

So, this little kitty is going to have a litter of kittens in a parking lot in Ginza.

On TOP of that, REALLY HORRIFYING, as far as I can see from 2 Channel, which granted isn't a very reliable source for anything but it gives you a good idea as to how a lot of people think, some people LOOOOVE to catch the friendly stray cats and abuse them by cutting their skin off or limbs or other stuff (as chronicled in the "I hate animals" BOARD that they have just for people who hate animals.. with thread titles such as "That cat that got killed on this board deserved to die, fucking stupid cat! (laugh)" etc).

As soon as I read this I was like OAO WHATSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and now I can't sleep at all because I can't stop thinking of nice pregnant cat in Ginza and how much people who abuse animals need to rot forever in a pit of fire or at least be killed in an awful way in public.

So, off I go tomorrow to buy a cute animal carry bag to go get stray cat.

I was almost thinking of getting a purebred cat from a pet store (because pet stores don't ask you what kind of apartment you live in -- mine doesn't allow pets and most people wouldn't give me one of their kittens if they knew that ;A;) but they cost at LEAST 1000 dollars (usually way more).. and I was STILL OKAY WITH THAT.

But instead I will get pregnant stray cat, have her have her kittens in my room somehow, and then find homes for the kittens and keep the mommy and take her home with me to the States in August where my sister and her boyfriend can take care of her at my house until I get out of grad school oAo/

At first I was thinking my room was too small or something (my entire living area is about the size of an American bathroom), and my apartment doesn't allow pets AT ALL, but as long as I put something over the wall to protect it from being scratched up, play with the cat enough that she doesn't get aggravated and meow a lot (she was really relaxed and quiet when I met her in the parking lot) and hide her when they come to inspect the room when I move out it should be okay (tons of people do it) and really... is a small room in any way worse than having half your kittens die in a parking lot and either getting hit by a car, dying of sickness, or getting chopped up by a psycho???

So, wish me luck :3 I hope she's still there tomorrow, although it's such a small area that I doubt she'd be very far away. oAo

Akane!! I don't know if you watch anime or have enough time to but there's a new anime out that I think you might be interested in~~

It's called Hakaba Kitarou and it's Gegege no Kitarou but (from what you've told me before) I think it's based on the way older versions of it where Kitarou is ugly and it's kinda scary and stuff. :3 I like it a lot, I think I understand why you liked it when you were a kid.

That, and Kitarou's voice is GOKUUUUUUUU!!!! Holy balls, as ex huge Dragonball nerd hearing Gokuu's voice again is super exciting XDDD

In other news, today was my last day at work. :3 Even though I'm sure half the teachers hated me because I suck at teaching and their expectations are way too high, I cried like a baby saying goodbye to everyone XD I don't cry for basically anything except for saying goodbye to people oAO But saying goodbye to my 5th graders wasn't so bad because they were just being funny and stuff. I'm gonna miss them ;A;/

But yeah so I guess nobody wants to come to karaoke with me then, eh? ;A;//

I'm so broke up about Hammy, his tumor is so big his back legs don't reach ;A; Hamster tumors get really big really fast, because it totally wasn't this noticeable a few days ago, and yesterday he didn't have problems walking. I read that they usually go to their toilet area to die, and he was just sleeping there and breathing kind of irregularly, but he got up and kinda went over to a little bed of tissues I made for him, so I wonder if he's gonna die soon ;A; I feel so bad for the little dude.. I've been feeding him green beans and a little cookie and pine nuts and stuff, and I've been keeping my heater on so he's warm.. but I don't really wanna pick him up and move him around if his whole body is riddled with cancer and he's in pain and stuff ;A;/

Hey! :D Long time no see!

It was my birthday 10/25 oAo/ Thanks to madlovescience for the present :3 It looks delicious. I wish I were only 1 XD;

I turned 24 /AT Lately I've just been depressed about my appearance and aging deginitely doesn't make me feel any better uAu;;; I didn't have a party or anything, although Hannah is going to buy me dinner sometime :3 Maybe I can have a little party sometime in November oAO

But yeah, lately I've been even more of a hermit than usual oAO Especially because I don't have any money. I just kinda stay cooped up in my room all the time uAu;; I just sit around watching Nico Nico Video. Which IS hilarious, but not really a social thing oAo

I think I'm doing the same thing I did in my first year of college. I knew I was leaving at the end of the year so I just cooped up in my room and didn't do anything or try to make any new friends. I think I subconsciously try to disappear from memory or something XD;

I haven't had my period for over a month though I think my body's just messed up because of my work situation (which is really stressful) and stuff.

But on a fun note, I'm moving again :D Which is a good thing, believe me oAo I'm really stressed out at the place I am now because the living room is always full of people I don't know and I have to pass by in various levels of disarray to go pee xAx Like I can't just go pee without like 10 people seeing. I'm moving to another guest house like 20 minutes away by bike. It's on the Tobu Tojo line so I have to go through Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya on my way home every day ^A^ I stayed over last night because I'm already renting the room, and it's normal but I like it. :3 It's next door to a public bath too, so I can go have real baths again uAu/ I can't wait to move! oAo/// I almost never run into another human being while I'm there, and I can pee without having a bunch of people being like "Hey!"

Once I move I should have stress levels reduced by like 600,000.

Anyway, I think today Krys and I are going to our old college to their autumn festival. :3 That should be fun ;A;/

Edit: As if moving, applying to grad school, living in a place you hate, and having problems at work isn't enough, my hamster's eyeball was red so I got super worried and took him to the vet, and it turns out he has super obvious advanced cancer that I never noticed xAx;;;;;; I thought it was his balls, because it's on his balls, and I never pick him up because he bites, but it turns out that it's a huuuuuge plainly malignant and scary-looking cyst xAx I just thought his balls were really big ;A; I'm super shocked and have spent the past hour crying ;A; The vet gave me painkillers and I guess I'm just going to have to be super nice to him before he dies.. I was a super crappy owner because I only cleaned his cage like once every 60 years, and his life sucked in general because his owner threw him away and nobody but me was willing to take care of him ;A; I just feel super bad. But he's still all energetic, running on his wheel and eating and stuff. I wonder what sort of special crap he'll like I can feed him now oAo

Anyway /AT I'm going to go to Matsuya and drown my sorrows in a big beef bowl ;A;

My third Tokyo Game Show!!

I went out super early with Hannah Sunday to try and get tickets to the closed theater showing the FF13 videos but alas they were completely gone by the time we got there 30 minutes after the building opened ;A; Square Enix is such a fucking tight ass ;A; They didn't let you take a single picture of anything in their booth except for the life size Kingdom Hearts statues they've had for the past 3 years and a thing of Zack's buster sword in the ground. xAx They wouldn't even let you take pictures of the new FF7 potion cans that come out the 23rd of October. WTF dude everyone's gonna buy them anyway, don't be such a dick eater about it ;A; They closed their goods booth wicked early so I couldn't buy anything too. Fucking Squeenix, everybody involved with any of their games that were any good have left, why are they so high and mighty about simple things now? Especially only letting a limited amount of people who got there at the ass crack of dawn see any of the movies that are worth anything ;A; I wanna find Tetsuya Nomura and kick him in the balls.

But speaking of games they've made that were any good, they're remaking FF4 (again) in 3D with voices for the DS. Cecil sounds too young and totally gay and Kain sounds 300 years old.

BUT OH KAIN TAT I watched my dad's ex-girlfriend's son play all FF4 when I was 10 and since then I have had a massive crush on Kain because he's worth more than 800 Cecils ;A;

Speaking of Final Fantasy, there's a website called Nico Nico that has videos like Youtube but a feature were you can comment on them and the comments go across the screen. It's like 2 Channel for videos.

They have a video called "FF6 with Awful Names". The guy went in and changed all the names, and because of Japanese grammar when you put them together it makes the funniest shit in the universe XD

So I moved! :D

And I don't have a wireless internet card in my comp so I'm totally internetless! But luckily the area I live in is super convenient and there's a 60 yen/10 minute internet cafe 2 minutes' walk away :3

I forgot an assload of stuff at my old apartment and err I need to go back to throw a bunch of stuff away but I'm officially moved into my guest house place. :3

The area is super nice! I'm like 2 minute's bike ride away from Nakajuku, one of the oldest roads in Tokyo. Right now it's an extremely long shopping street with all sorts of crap. :O I'm 3 minutes from the station and it only takes 35 minutes to get to work. And the whole area is CHOCK FULL OF CATS. So many cats! Granted it's kinda sad that they're all stray but I can't really complain if I can be relaxed by the sight of 800,000 cats every day! oAo/ I'll give them cat food like a cat lady or something.

I met most of my roommates last night and they're all super nice. :3 One guy took me out to show me the supermarket and stuff. They all love my hamster Hammy.

But today I got home from work and there was this Japanese dude I hadn't met sitting in the living room, so I was like "Oh, hi!! Nice to meet you, I'm Lauren :D" and he literally said "Ah" and went back to watching TV. oAo;;; Then I said bye when I was leaving to go to the 100 yen store and he ignored me TAT

In other news, we've been talking about it amongst us lately, and we've all decided to move out of the place we've got now. For Krys, I'm sure she doesn't want to live with slobs like Hannah and I, and her commute is long; Hannah can develop responsibility by living alone and not have to worry about other people; and me, I can have a better commute in the morning as well. :3 We're gonna go talk to the real estate agent about it now.

I've been looking at guest houses. Granted they're noisy and full of people you're not necessarily going to like, but I like that. XD I basically sit around and read manga here and have no social life at ALL, but if I were with a bunch of strangers I'd be forced to socialize and meet people. Also, in Japan when you move into an apartment, you need to pay thousands of dollars in fees, and at a guest house you don't have to. :3 The place I'm thinking about most at the moment is in Tawaramachi, which is a 10 minute walk from Ueno station oAO///

Can I move all my shit out of here in time I wonder? XD; I'm going to go pick up boxes from the local grocery store.

Does anyone in Japan have a Windows installation disk I could use to reinstall Windows on my compy? It's acting weird and doesn't load half its programs, and looks virus-y and suspicious.

7. Went to a maid cafe and when someone sat next to me I turned around to see Ryuutarou
8. Saw Tadashi coming in as we left oAo;
9. Worked at my maid cafe for the first time in 3 months and got my first compliment on 2ch

I stayed up all night but had a nap halfway through and when I woke up I figured I'd dick around on the internets and write this entry and stuff and then my sister got back from drinking and sat around on myspace for like an hour ;A; God dammit, I haven't used the internet like at all since I got back xAx;; WTF does she have to do on myspace that bad at 3 am? Anyway, holy crap! I knew this was going to be a short visit but I didn't think how really short it would be. I leave for the airport in like a half hour. oAo/

It was nice being back, but it really did feel extremely short. I've got a lot of family in a lot of random places and it was my one thing to like get around and see them all, but in doing so it didn't leave time for much else. There are a bunch of friends I wanted to see that I couldn't really get in touch with, but I did get to see some friends that I haven't seen in a billion years, so it was good.

I dunno, I guess I'm looking forward to going back? I'm going to try extra hard to find a boyfriend/girlfriend when I get back ;A;/ Wish me luck!

It's also weird because I haven't been nerdy like this whole visit. oAo/ Did anyone go to Comiket and buy porno? ..nobody? ...only I'm so nerdy that I would go to Comiket. ;A;

Walking around different stores I see that a lot of the manga goods they sell here are clothes. I think that's the difference between foreign otaku and Japanese otaku. In Japan they usually want to hide it, in America, a lot of them are dressed like they're going to a con all the time. xAx

At Hot Topic I secretly ogled everybodyed to check out hipster fashion, which apparently for girls has to include leggings and ballet shoes. I didn't see a single hipster girl without them. Did I mention I hate hipsters? oAo// Stop listening to crappy music and all looking the same, you assholes.

Anyway, yesterday I went to Boston with my best friend Zack and his Japanese friends from college. Zack is constantly surrounded by a Japanese posse just like Gwen Stefani.

They were totally bored, I think, and I felt kinda bad for them. I guess the Japanese aren't perfected in the art of managing to have fun without actually doing anything. They should have gone to my high school. We ran into our classmate and good friend Julia randomly and she took this fun picture. I'm trying to take lots of pictures. I'm making memories, just like in Loveless, but without the gay sex (wait, there's only gay sex in that inside my mind ;A;)

Anyway, today my dad took me out shopping and I went to Borders to buy a French textbook (another one ;A;) and I stopped by the manga section and I was like WTF is up with all of this manga?? aloud to my dad and the girl next to me turned to us and explained the History of the Borders Manga Section like she was really proud she had been there since The Beginning, and we were like uhhh.. no shit and then ran away. :3

Then we went to Walmart and I bought 25 dollars' worth of vitamins and a present for Krys.

I hope you all had a merry Christmas! I had an okay Christmas. I got a whole crapload more presents than I've gotten for years, as well as lots more money. oAo// Coming home only once every year and a half has its advantages!! OAO///

I got like a thing that attaches to my family's computer and TV that makes it so I can watch American TV in Japan through my computer or something. oAo// I doubt very highly that this will ever actually work on my computer since I have the computer skills of a carrot, but it is a nice thought either way. Of course, it's like a 12 hour difference so I'll only be able to see infomercials for the BoFlex or whatever. xAx But a nice thought!!

After that: ALL NIGHT DRUNKEN KARAOKE MARATHON at Shinjuku Uta Hiroba. :O You know you want to come. We will definitely be singing some Baby Got Back and other favorites. I took all these pictures on the wrong size setting, so all my pictures came out really huge and I had to resize them so they all came out really blurry and shitty. SRY!

Also, I wrote stuff on some of the pictures in Paint but it came out all blurry, so umm.. you may not be able to understand anything! :D

I SMELL COMIKET!! I went after work, which means I got there at 11:30. Which umm.. I kinda decided is too late to get to Comiket and make anything of it. xAx You kinda need to be there at the ass-crack of dawn if you want to cosplay, buy dojinshi, and get home before the crush TAT SO I WAS ALREADY LATE YAY!

At first this picture was kinda hard to show exactly how freaking crowded Comiket is, so I decided to direct your attention to the kinda hard-to-see ENDLESS WALL OF BODIES @A@ It is moving and ENDLESS OAO

I went the second day, which was Jump day, and my friend who I didn't end up getting to meet wanted me to wear Mello, so I did. :x I didn't actually plan to go to the cosplay space (just wanted to buy doujin), but Akane and I met up so I decided to go with her. :3 I saw this Near and Mello and they were like oAo!! and I was like can I have your picture?? and they were like oAo so we ended up taking like 800 pictures together and a bunch of people wanted to take our pictures too :3 Yay! Look at Akane in the background deciding how to approach and kidnap the Jack Sparrow cosplayer XDD Also the girl in the maid outfit is the kind of cosplayer who thinks that cosplay is just dressing up like a maid and standing pigeon-toed. SORRY NO oAo

I had washed my wig the day before so it was puffy and the wrong shape and SUPER UGLY and not styled well enough at all so this is the only showable picture of me of the day TAT

Of course, as God HATES ME 2 seconds after Akane and I get into the cosplay space, it starts raining. 3 seconds after we safely made it inside and Akane says bye, it starts THUNDERING AND POURING all over the maid cosplayers. :D Hah hah.

Of course, since I got there late and it took forever to find the cosplay changing area and whatnot by the time I got to the doujin area I was already late and many places had started to pack up. Not being able to find ANYTHING (I swear all the crap I wanted had to have been either on the first day or in another completely different area that I didn't go to xAx;) so, since I had more cosplay stuff to work on for TFT the next day, I just decided to beat the crowds and go home.

We all headed home, 8 billion strangers, from different countries and backgrounds, all joined together at the heart by one, powerful thought:

Okay, then I went home and finished my cosplay and got to bed in preparation for cosplay at TFT the next day! Hannah and I went to Comiket together before I headed to TFT, and I should have taken more pictures because it was like the day before but ALL MEN and plus about 495864857684758475 MORE PEOPLE. It was really ridiculous TAT;;

Anyway, I got to TFT and started putting on my costume. I wasn't counting but I think it must have taken 2 hours because I got in there at around 3 and got out of the dressing rooms at about 5. I will probably never do A.B.A again because everything broke as soon as I put it on TAT The key around her waist was the first to break, then I couldn't get the chain to stay on Parakels, and my key hair clips were too heavy and kept falling down TAT It was distressing and I considered not even going out into the hall and just taking pictures and going home ;A;

But, I went out without Parakels for a minute to see how it was going, and the first person I ran into was a May from Guilty Gear! He (yes, it was a guy dressed as a girl) told me there was a Guilty Gear meetup in another room, so I grabbed Parakels and went. Everyone was SHITTING THEIR PANTS about Parakels because they were saying he was so well-made (*´艸`*) Yay! They were taking pictures of me standing next to it doing a peace sign because they'd never seen one that could stand up on its own. :x

People who cosplay fighting games REALLY LOVE THEIR FIGHTING GAMES it seems. All the guys are plainly just guys who like Guilty Gear, and same with the girls XD They're way nerdier than the sort of people who cosplay like Gundam or something. XD They were all super nice, too. I had one of the Sols take my picture too. :3 BE PREPARED FOR UGLINESS TAT
